COVID - 19 (Coronavirus) Resources
COVID-19 or the Coronavirus covers headlines daily. We at HRHN want to make sure you and your family are protected and provided with the most accurate information possible.
In addition to the information below, our partners at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have set up a website with guidance and facts about COVID-19. You can access their website here. The Department of Health has also created a webpage to help answer FAQs and provide information. Their webpage can be accessed here. Our partners at Central Florida Health Care have also created a COVID-19 page dedicated to Testing Opportunities at their clinics or through their mobile units. This covers Highlands, Hardee, and Polk Counties. Their webpage can be accessed here. |
Heartland Rural Health Network is committed to being a local resource for data.
As part of our efforts to provide data on COVID-19 for Highlands, Hardee and DeSoto Counties, we created a graph that displays the number of COVID-19 positive cases, hospitalizations due to COVID-19 and deaths due to COVID-19 in each county, as reported on our Facebook Page from the data available from the Florida Department of Health. We will continue to update this graphic Monday - Friday (except Holidays), posting the updated graphs here and on our Facebook Page by 4 pm on work days. The Florida DOH updates their data once daily at about 11 am. This data is verified as accurate as of 7 am that day - therefore, you can assume the data is about a day behind. **Last Updated approximately 3:30 PM 1/27/2021 The Florida Department of Health will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26th, so there will be a gap in data for that day. Please note due to the Holidays, we will not have new data for the Thursday the 24th or Friday the 25th of December. We will resume posting data on Monday, December 28th. Also, we will have a gap for Friday, January 1st but will resume posting data for Monday, January 4th. |
