​Executive Program Director

​Mrs. Carrasquillo serves as the Executive Director of Heartland Rural Health Network, Inc. (HRHN), bringing with her a passion for enhancing healthcare services in the communities HRHN serves. Beginning her journey with the network in 2021 as a Program Director, Valeria quickly rose to the position of Executive Program Director due to her dedication and leadership. Her vision is centered around expanding HRHN’s services to create a lasting, positive impact on the community by increasing access to high-quality healthcare, particularly to the underserved population.

Ada Feliciano 
​CHW Program Coordinator, CCHW

​Ada Feliciano serves as the CHW Program Coordinator for Heartland Rural Health Network, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission to provide essential health services to underserved communities. With a diverse professional background as a licensed medical esthetician, educator, stress management counselor, CRM educator, and certified community health worker, Ada brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to achieve their health and professional goals, fostering personal growth and community well-being.

Wendy Neugent-Healy
CHW Program, Certified Community Health Worker 

Wendy Neugent-Healy is a dedicated Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW) serving the communities of Hardee and DeSoto Counties. With a passion for bridging healthcare access gaps and addressing social determinants of health. Wendy works closely with social services and healthcare agencies to find tailored solutions for individual clients. Her expertise extends to assisting homeless clients by helping them secure housing, access medical care, and address mental health needs. In her role, Wendy also processes Social Security Administration (SSA) and Florida Access applications, ensuring that her clients receive the benefits and services they need. Additionally, she is a Florida Notary Public, offering crucial notary services in areas such as ADA housing placement, Medical Power of Attorney, and securing financial aid for healthcare.

Rebeca Ibarra
​CHW Program, Certified Community Health Worker 

Rebeca serves as a vital liaison between health services and the community, working to bridge gaps and facilitate access to essential care. Her role focuses on breaking down barriers to improve both the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. Throughout her work with Heartland Rural Health Network, Rebeca has encountered and addressed significant obstacles in the health system, such as the lack of affordable health insurance, limited access to specialty care, inadequate transportation, and insufficient health education.

​Mending the Gap, Program Director
​

Larry's extensive career is marked by his leadership and commitment to community well-being. As Program Director at Heartland Rural Health Network (HRHN) since 2016, he supervises a team of health educators, oversees health program implementation, and promotes healthy lifestyles among youth. He is also the new director of HRHN's Responsible Fatherhood Education Program, contributing efforts and skills to assist fathers in strengthening family bonds. Since 2005, he has served as the Co-founder and Creative Director of Moore Performing Arts, Inc., developing programs that foster creativity and community engagement through the arts.

Mending the Gap, Assistant Program Director & Fatherhood Coach

Corey Adams serves as the Assistant Program Director and Fatherhood Coach for the Mending the Gap Fatherhood Initiative. His passion for community service and dedication to fatherhood have found a perfect blend in his current role. Corey is thrilled to provide critical resources, guidance, and encouragement to fathers across the heartland, making a meaningful impact in their lives and the lives of their families. His journey, from a young volunteer in local theater to a committed mentor and coach, speaks to his unwavering dedication to uplifting the community he calls home.

Mending the Gap, Data & Administrative Assistant​

Ronald serves as a Data and Admin Assistant for HRHN’s Responsible Fatherhood Education Program, where he plays a crucial role in the program’s reporting efforts. His ability to collect, analyze, and manage data allows the program to effectively track progress and measure its impact. Ronald’s strong attention to detail and analytical mindset have made him an invaluable asset in ensuring the program meets its objectives. His dedication to empowering fathers through education aligns with his passion for fostering strong family and community relationships.

Mending the Gap, ​Fatherhood Coach

Fabian Mendez is a bilingual Fatherhood Coach and videographer, dedicated to empowering fathers and enriching family connections in his community. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Fabian joined HRHN, bringing a unique blend of coaching expertise and a creative background in video and film production.  With his multicultural perspective and diverse skill set, Fabian makes a profound impact, weaving practical advice with creative storytelling to inspire and uplift those he serves.
