What Is Advocacy?
Advocacy means "to speak up, to plead the case of another, or to champion a cause." Legislative advocacy specifically involves influencing public policy through the legislative process. Legislative advocacy is how you can make your voice heard on issues that impact you, your community and/or state. Florida Rural Health Association
Another wonderful resource is the Florida Rural Health Association. FRHA was formed in 1993 to provide a mechanism through which interested individuals and organizations in Florida could unite in advocacy for ensuring that all residents of rural Florida have access to a continuum of affordable healthcare. It is this common interest that binds the FRHA membership and allowed the development of a common voice for rural health. Consider becoming a member to take advantage of this excellent resource for Florida's rural health!
